Dementia Oxfordshire is Growing their Team to Offer Additional Support Across the County

Dementia Oxfordshire are looking to increase the scale of our service to allow us to support more people living with dementia and their loved ones that care for them, as well as expanding the number of education sessions we run.

This growth in the service has been driven by the increasing number of people we support and the findings of our impact report, which enabled us to secure additional funding.

To expand our service, we are looking to recruit several Dementia Advisers across the county and also a specialist dementia nurse (Admiral Nurse). This will enable us to support more people, offer more education sessions and add to the clinical expertise of our team.

For the Dementia Adviser (DA) role we are ideally looking for someone with experience and lots of skills. However, for the right person we can offer a training and development programme, with mentoring support from an experienced DA, a structured induction, and a pathway to a level three qualification (as per the Regulated Qualifications Framework). For the Admiral Nurse role we are looking for an experienced nurse familiar with supporting people with a dementia diagnosis and their families. We are looking for someone able to work within a third sector organisation supporting a team of advisers who are not clinically trained.

Applications to these roles are now open and close on the 23rd January and the 30th January respectively. You can view our vacancies, here.
