Peter Johnson

Head of Service
Brief info

Peter joined us from Age Concern Hampshire and brings a wealth of experience in building partnerships and delivering projects and services.

“Dementia Oxfordshire is an innovative service for people living with dementia in Oxfordshire providing specialist non-medical advice to those with a diagnosis and their families and carers. We aim to be a single point of access, helping people to plan for the future and live meaningful and independent lives whilst dealing with the realities that a dementia diagnosis brings.

I see my job as making the most of the limited resources we have; this means collaborating effectively with both the medical and non-medical services that can support people to ensure we have a client centred care model for people with dementia in Oxfordshire”.

Previously, Peter has worked in local authorities primarily in the area of partnership development, and in the more distant past, was a Country Director with the youth development charity, Raleigh International, delivering their programmes in Namibia.

You can make a positive difference for people in your community living with dementia and their carers by volunteering for Dementia Oxfordshire. Contact us to find out more.
