Support Line Closure During the Christmas Period and Festive Wishes

Support Line Closure During the Christmas Period and Festive Wishes

Estimated reading time: 2 minute(s)

As the year draws to a close, Dementia Oxfordshire would like to give our thanks for your support and to remind you of our support line closure over the Christmas period.

Our support line will be closed from 5pm on 23rd of December until 9am on 3rd of January. For alternative support during this time, you can call the Dementia UK helpline to speak to an Admiral Nurse on 0800 888 6678. The Dementia UK support line is available weekdays 9am to 9pm and weekends 9am to 5pm, including bank holidays (except 25th December). In an out of hours emergency, you can also call the Oxfordshire Adult Social and Health Care duty team on 0800 833 408.

You can find information about dementia and the support available across the county here on our website, and regular information, advice, and updates on our Facebook page.

We want to take this opportunity to say thank you to all those who supported our service throughout the year, whether through donating, volunteering or spreading the word.

The collages below show just a glimpse of the activities and events our team have delivered this year across Oxfordshire, many of which would not have been nearly as successful without your support.

All donations from individuals and organisations help us provide much needed support for people living with dementia and their carers, including helping us to deliver 30 education sessions, 13 awareness sessions and answer 1519 calls on our support line. We look forward to restarting these activities next year and helping more people living with dementia and their carers to live well. If you would like to make a donation, you can do so, here.

We wish everyone a happy and safe Christmas season and new year.
