Post-Diagnostic Education Session Success!

Post-Diagnostic Education Session Success!

Estimated reading time: 2 minute(s)

As part of our expanding education service, we host Post-Diagnostic Education Sessions to help people living with dementia and their carers to understand the changes ahead, as well as spend time and share experiences with other newly diagnosed people and families in a safe and friendly environment.

Divided into 2 parts, these sessions are run by our experienced Dementia Advisers and are completely free to anyone living with dementia, their families and caregivers in Oxfordshire.

Our previous session took place on Friday 2nd March, and looked at how to retain independence and plan for the future as a person living with dementia. It was a huge success with over 20 people signed up and even featured a talk from our Dementia Ambassador, Glenn!

Thank you to everyone who showed up for the sessions !! 💙

Our next Post-Diagnostic Education Session will be taking place in July, with Part 1 on Wednesday 6th July, followed by Part 2 on Wednesday 13th July.

The location is yet to be confirmed, but as always, tea, coffee, fruit and biscuits shall be provided!

For more information or to sign up for the next session, please contact training@dementiaoxfordshire.org.uk
