Oxford’s Open Doors

2 minute read

Dementia Oxfordshire are delighted to be able to support the Oxford Preservation Trust’s Open Doors event in Oxford. Over 11th and 12th of September, the generable public will be able to see ‘behind their closed doors’ including tours of the Coroner’s Court, Council Chambers and the underground tunnels.

There will an art and craft fair and other attractions over the weekend including an MG car display. Our Dementia Advisers will also be there. We have an information stand and will be available to answer any questions and offer support regarding dementia. We will be providing the refreshments for the event in County Hall, with ‘Cupcakes and a Cuppa’ and a stall called ‘Diamonds for Dementia’ selling gently worn and pre-loved jewellery.

Any money raised will go directly to supporting persons diagnosed with dementia living in Oxfordshire.

We are looking for star bakers who can help bake cupcakes and donations of gently worn second hand jewellery to be sold on our stall. We are also looking for volunteers who can spare a couple of hours on the Saturday or Sunday and help serve refresments.

If you’re able to volunteer your time or donate cakes or jewellery, please contact Helen on 07964 037255 or email Fundraising@dementiaoxfordshire.org.uk.
