Ampleforth Dementia Workshop

Our Dementia Workshop takes place on the 3rd Wednesday of the month and is a wonderful opportunity for carers to learn more about dementia, connect with others in a similar situation, maintain their wellbeing and navigate the journey of caring for someone with dementia, in a safe and warm environment.

Each month we’ll tackle a different theme, where we welcome guest speakers to come talk to us about a wide range of issues and opportunities.

– 18th March – Sophie Burton – Oral Health Improvement Practitioner

– 15th April – Cynthia Oniwonlu – Home Improvement Agency “How to live safely and independently in your home”

– 20th May –  Rob Hanks – Thames Water Priority Services Register

– 17th June – Anita Hopkins – Discharge from hospital to assessment and the home first Reablement pathway

– 15th July – Michelle Kiely – NHS Community Bladder & Bowel Service

– 19th August – Josh Jureczko – Managing behaviours

– 16th September – Karen Hughes – Disability bus passes with companion and Blue Badges

Joining is completely free and everyone is welcome!
