Claire is one of the longest-serving staff members of the team, having worked for Age UK Oxfordshire in their original dementia support team, which became Dementia Oxfordshire in 2015. a
“These have been extremely rewarding years. I thoroughly enjoy my job befriending and supporting those with dementia and their families/carers to cope with their condition and all the trials and tribulations that go with it. I introduce them to clubs and activities they normally wouldn’t think suitable but then watching their enjoyment as they blossom and interact with other people is wonderful. The feedback from families is always so encouraging.”
Claire’s knowledge of the community she serves and her ability to build effective relationships with her clients enables her to make a positive a difference in people’s lives at what is often a very difficult time.
