Carol joined the Young Onset Dementia Team in 2025. Carol previously worked at a retirement village near Wantage as an Activity & Wellbeing Manager, The role included supporting the dementia unit. “As a team we made positive changes to the unit – and those changes were recognised when we were nominated in the 2025 Dementia Care Awards – which was wonderful!”
She has also worked at a specialist dementia unit for 6 years and has a Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care.
“Supporting those who have a dementia diagnosis – and their loved ones – is something I am passionate about. To help and support them find the tools so they can live their lives to the fullest is what drew me to my current role with Dementia Oxfordshire.”
Carol lives with her three children, two dogs and two cats – that keep her busy, but she also loves cooking, walking, and socialising.
