Dance project

We’re absolutely delighted to be supporting an exciting new opportunity for people living with dementia and their families! Oxford-based MuMo Creative are launching a Dance for Dementia programme,  offering dance classes which combine movement with live music for older adults living with dementia.

Where and when

The sessions are led by experienced artists and supported by a team of volunteers. Caregivers, friends and family are invited to come along too!

  • Weekly from Thursday 5th February – Thursday 5th March (5 sessions)
  • 2pm – 3.30pm
  • Ark-T Centre @ The Venue, 242B Barns Road, Cowley, Oxford OX4 3RQ
The sessions are free, but do let MuMo Creative know that you are coming along by emailing hello@mumocreative.com and find out more at www.mumocreative.com, or view the leaflet here.

Cultural collaboration

The programme is being run in partnership with English Ballet and Oxford City Council, in collaboration with Dementia Oxfordshire and the Ark-T centre in Cowley.

The pilot phase of the programme – running this Spring – is being developed as part of the University of Oxford’s Science Together Programme, and in collaboration with researchers from the University of Oxford and Oxford Brookes University.
