Sara joined Dementia Oxfordshire in September 2025, having previously been part of the team during 2023! Her background is in nursing and she’s worked in both an NHS acute hospital setting and the community, specialising in palliative care.
As well as her Dementia Advisor activities, she also runs one of our monthly Care2Share groups, with colleague Leanne Marriot.
“I think that being able to offer continuity of support for a person living with dementia and their loved ones is such an important part of the role and above all providing person-centred care. Being able to visit clients at home feels like such a privilege, along with the wonderful opportunities for social engagement in groups.
Outside of work, she is kept busy by her family and many animals – including cats, pygmy goats, chickens and a tortoise!
Normal working week Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday.
