DESCRIPTION:Moorside Place Extra Care Housing (OSJCT) in Kidlington hosts our monthly Making Memories Cafe. \nProviding a welcoming and relaxing lounge for supporting anyone affected by a dementia diagnosis and their families/carers/friends. This is a friendly space to enjoy coffee\, cake and companionship to promote living well with dementia and wellbeing; plus a chance to develop new friendships.\nWe are all on hand to provide advice and a listening ear as well as organising a quiz and other cognitive activities if you wish to join in. \nWe meet on the last Tuesday afternoon of every month at 2 pm at Moorside Place. DESCRIPTION:Do you want to have a better understanding of dementia? Then come along to our education session for informal carers. It’s a two-hour\, in-person session where you get to meet our team and ask the questions you want to know. \nThe session will cover three main topics: \n\nWhat is dementia?\nUnderstanding dementia – exploring topics in our ‘Understanding dementia’ booklet\nServices\, support\, and benefits.\n\nThere will be a separate space\, with activities\, for people living with dementia. \nYou must register to attend these sessions. To do so\, please book here or email education@dementiaoxfordshire.org.uk \nWe try to cover as much of the county as possible by offering these sessions in a different location each time. However\, if you’re struggling to make it\, please consider our online education session\, which we run every three months.

DESCRIPTION:Our Active Minds group is for people with a dementia diagnosis who are keen to get out and about around the county. \nA different trip is planned for each month and are scheduled for different days each month\, so do check the calendar. \nThere is a cost for some activities and others are free. \n  \nTuesday 21st July 12noon – 1pm.  \nInclusive Cycling with Cyclability \nAthletic Track and Sports Ground\, Horspath Road\, Oxford OX4 2RR \nCyclability is an Oxford based charity that offers a safe\, inclusive cycling experience for all ages and abilities.
