Since Monday 16th March we have been doing things differently at Dementia Oxfordshire to minimise the risk from coronavirus. We have increased the support we provide by telephone and have stopped home visits. We have paused our events, activities and groups until further notice. We are now also providing practical advice about managing the Corona virus situation as well as providing Dementia specific advice. Our support line remains open (01865 410 210).
Our Dementia Advisers are working closely with our colleagues at Age UK Oxfordshire. They can help you find practical support in your local area and help signpost you to any specialist support you might need.
If you wish to help or volunteer watch this video for some ideas.
Local support in Oxfordshire is being collated on a new website Oxfordshire All In, look here to find support local to you.
Please note this is not an emergency service – please ring 111 for medical advice or 999 in a medical emergency.
Remember the Government has asked everyone to stay at home
This means even people who may not be at a high risk should only leave the house for limited reasons. These measures are to help prevent the spread of the virus, and protect the most vulnerable.
